Abstract

This project examines a model of a Tello drone capable of automatically detecting and following a deep learning user. Tello drone is a drone platform for education and research. The deep learning network model used is YOLOv4-tiny. The camera on the drone is used to collect training data and stream video back to the Jetson Nano for processing. Jetson Nano will act as a ground control station to run a network model to detect people and issue control commands to the drone via WiFi protocol.
